first computer 'bug' was found by Admiral Grace Hopper, a legend
in her own time, in a Naval computer. It was a moth, caught in
the computer relay switch that was giving rise to errors. This
is the etymology of the word 'bug' as used to describe problems
related to computer hardware and software. |
